Halloween Makeup: Green Skull

Step 1: fill in brows with a dark brow pencil or black eyeshadow.

Step 2: draw black line above crease using liquid eyeliner and blend upwards. It is easier to draw the line bit by bit using a pencil first, then to trace over with liquid eyeliner.

Step 3: fill in eyelid with metallic colour of choice (gold). Add accent colour (green) in inner corner and blend out to middle of eyelid. Make sure to use a primer for your eyeshadow so that it sticks, especially with glitter. A cost effective alternative for primer is lotion or lightly wetting your brush with water. Highlight under the brow bone.

Step 4: add liquid eyeliner to upper lash line and mascara or fake eyelashes.

Step 5: draw out black shapes using black pencil, trace over with liquid eyeliner and fill with black eyeshadow. Alternatively, black face paint can be used.

Step 6: cover the rest of your face with concealer and foundation, as needed, clearly defining clean edges for the black shapes. A lighter face colour looks spookier. For an intense effect, use white face paint.

Step 7: on lips, draw faint teeth outlines with black pencil. Fill in the metallic (gold) with eyeshadow and trace the black lines darker. Make sure to use a primer for your eyeshadow so that it sticks, especially with glitter. A cost effective alternative for primer is lotion or lightly wetting your brush with water.

Step 8: accentuate black shapes on forehead with accent colour (green) by making three darker lines (like diving a circle into thirds) and blending outwards toward temples.

Step 9: accentuate under the eyes and down the cheeks with either metallic (gold) or accent colour (green).

Step 10: further define the face with green lines above cheekbones, blending upwards and using highlighter for a shimmer effect. Add green lines under the chin and on either side of the jaw, each with a defined edge and blended in. Add highlighter to the chin. Add metallic (gold) along the bridge of the nose.

Step 11: complete the look with colourful hair dye or a wig and some black contacts.

Have a nice weekend dears, xox
